Planning Tips
🎯 Start with Requirements
Map out your required courses first before adding electives. Make sure you’re meeting prerequisites — some upper-year courses require specific foundations.
⚖️ Balance Your Pillars
SSS is built on three pillars: Science & Technology, Economics/Policy/Governance, and Ethics/Equity/Justice. Spread courses across pillars each semester for variety.
🔄 Course Substitutions
Check our Degree Planning Spreadsheet for common course substitutions that other students have used. Always confirm with your advisor before assuming a substitution is approved.
